Edro III is a ship that has become one of the most visited objects on the island. Not so long ago, back in December 2011, a ship transported building materials from Limassol to Rhodes Island. When the ship left, a storm arose, so the crew decided to stay closer to the shore. The wind and waves were so powerful that they threw the ship onto the underwater rocks. The crew members were flown out by helicopter. Several times the Cypriot authorities tried to seize the ship, but doing so was not only more difficult than it seemed, but also very expensive. After several attempts to get the ship out, the decision was made to just leave it here. To date, this decision has paid off. The ship has become a popular tourist attraction, and the sunsets on this coast are some of the most beautiful on the island. So, when the sun sets, it is one of the most romantic places in Cyprus, where wedding ceremonies and photo sessions are often organized.
